Yes it gives me an early indication if someone is breaking into my room and trying to kill me.

Yes I have a strange fear of people looking at me when I'm sleeping. If I share a room with either people I basically have to be absolutely knackered or just don't sleep.

I shut my door at all times because otherwise the cat will wander in and destroy everything :P

Yes, always. Don't like unknowingly being watched while sleeping plus just like privacy in general.

Don't have a bedroom at the moment, but otherwise yes. I don't want any draughts and I like pitch darkness and absolute silence when I sleep.

Yep it has to be shut, I dont like the thought of being seen whilst asleep and I also like it to be quiet.

I do. I'm usually the person first to go to bed so I don't want the lights shining into my room.
I sound so judgemental in the OP

I do, I did it when I lived at home because I wanted the privacy/quiet and now it's just a habit plus it makes me feel safer.

It depends sometimes my bedroom gets super hot so I like to leave it open just so my room gets some air coming in, I'd rather not have my window open because I don't trust where I live :P. I usually wake up and it's closed because when my parents wake up during the night to get a drink or go to the toilet they usually end up closing my bedroom door.

Yup usually closed because I like yo feel comfortable in my room! I also prefer it as I hate listening to other people in my house lmaoo

Though sometimes I have to keep it open for my dog to get in and out

Yeah it's usually always closed, just because I'd probably wander out and about in my sleep if it went. Need to be locked away!

Closed shut or at least closed over to block out noise/landing light

I leave it open usually. No particular reason really I just cba closing it half the time. My parents will usually close it when they pass though. At uni I'll always have it shut and locked though.

No, I live alone so I don't see the point

LUCPIX

yes, mainly because my room is in a strategic place at home, the first door of the only corridor of the apartment, so everyone goes next to the door, making noises at midnight, talking, etc etc! Ah, and there's the privacy issues, of course

Yes I keep my door closed because I like to sleep in darkness and don't want to light shining in. If I am in my room during the day then I leave it open unless I'm watching TV then I close the door and blind.

At that time when I had my own room I kept my door crack and I slept with a nightlight. I need to see during the night>: ( And having my door crack makes me feel alert. I'm not afraid. Just that my Mom would tell my Sister and I to be alert and have the bedroom door open when she was out the house.
I gotten use to having a door crack/open.

It's sort of open I can't actually open it if I shut it properly because it needs a good sanding down, so I push it as much as I dare.

I do because I have waken a couple times I’m my life from someone sleep walking into my room. Now I also know I may sleep walk, so as a precaution I usually lock the door.

I slept with it half open for most of my life until a few years ago when we got a dog. Now I keep it closed all the time because he'll come in and get into everything and would annoy me by doing it while I'm trying to sleep. He would also try to sleep on my bed and he's so big he just about takes up more of it than I do.
