For once, a decision that I support by CNN.

Kathy Griffin has taken a serious hit from her sponsors and (ex) employer after a photoshoot with a bloodied Trump mask. She issued an apology on Twitter that clearly was not sincere but was an attempt to regain the money that she had lost from her actions.
You know, looks a lot like ISIS if you ask me:

Anyways, here's the tweet by CNN Public Relations:

I don't agree with this as I think it's a huge encroachment upon freedom of speech/expression (and I find it a little ironic because it is normally Trump supporters who complain there's too much restriction on speech, PC, SJWs etc.) and it's a shame to see society going down the point where you're not allowed to do something in private without being fired.
Just cannot comprehend why people think it's a good thing at all, regardless of whether you like her or not.

Kathy Griffin is a typical PC liberal celebrity and she's just fallen on her own sword. Hooray. Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Ted Nugent holding a severed head of Obama, the media and Griffin etc would be all over it. He'd be blacklisted.
Not a fan of Kathy Griffin anyway after what she did to Joan River's legacy on Fashion Police. A right cow.

Eyyyy there's something we agree on lol. Figured this thread would end in a cage match (Ted Cruz quote) but I guess not.

i mean there's better way to enact your free speech without staging a fake beheading of someone because *you* dislike them. i get there are good reasons to dislike him in terms of his policies and beliefs, but i dislike the policies and beliefs of many and still wouldn't do that? also the fact that his 11 year old son had to see that makes me sad.

I don't disagree with you here. It really is quite disgusting of her to this and I'm quite surprised anyone at all would do this, but I still feel she nevertheless has the right to do it.

Seems a bit of a silly thing to do really! I'm sure if it was the other way around there would be outrage! I don't really support Trump, but I personally feel sorry for his children having to see this, which no children should have to see. It seems very extreme, and basically a symbol saying you want someone dead in one of the most horrific ways possible, which is itself an extreme thing to want just because you disagree with someones policies etc.

Sure, you have the right to do it. But you won't have rights if charges are pursued by the Secret Service and you land in prison.

Kathy Griffin broke down in tears during a news conference the comedian and her lawyers held Friday to discuss the fallout from the comedian posing with a likeness of President Donald Trump’s severed head.
Another attempt at "sorrow" as directed by her lawyers to retrieve the money she lost. Sad!

I watch the Philip DeFranco show on youtube and he talked about this story. He showed a clip of behind the scenes of the photo shoot for the image and she even acknowledges that it's not going to go down well, I guess she just assumed that there would be some negative comments but there would still be people who'd see the funny side to it. As much as I dislike Trump, it did cross a line that shouldn't have been crossed and as said, it's basically mimicking Isis which isn't really something you want to do.
