State Opening of Parliament 2017
The Sovereign delivers the Queen's Speech from the throne with Prince Charles at her side

It's a 'dressed down' Queen's Speech this year due to the short notice of the election so the Queen isn't wearing the Imperial State Crown or the Imperial robes this year. This also last happened in the 1970s with a snap election.
Important for me in the speech was the mention of a 'Customs Bill' which confirms yet again that Britain is not only leaving the Single Market but also the Customs Union. A 'hard' aka real Brexit despite the minority government.
If the Queen's Speech fails to pass Parliament then the minority government will fall.
Thoughts?
