I don't know if anyone's been paying any attention to it (the whole situation with same-sex marriage has evolved so quickly politically in Germany over the past few months) but the Bundestag are going to vote tomorrow on same-sex marriage. The only party who oppose/opposed it were Angela Merkel's party hence why it hasn't been legalised in the past, and now Merkel's view on it seems to have changed so it looks set to pass.
They're going to vote about 7:30am UK time, it will be very, very surprising if it does not pass. I also believe that the support for same-sex marriage in Germany is around 85% based on the most recent poll, which is astonishingly high.
Oh here's the BBC article about it but it's from a few days ago when no-one expected it was going to happen this quickly http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-40416126

Probably the one good thing about the Merkel creature was this (her opposition) and now even that's gone.

It goes to show how useless and dripping wet David Cameron really was when Angela Merkel - of all people - votes against gay 'marriage' while that clown actually brought it forward to Parliament against the wishes of his own party and then voted for it.
Nothing against same-sex marriages; good for them! :)

Looking at the vote total in the Bundestag and it's 393 votes to 226 so a pretty sizable opposition at least. Bodes well that perhaps sometime in the future it can be repealed - different case in the US though where it depends on composition of the Supreme Court.
At least in the UK it's been halted in it's path in one part at least: Northern Ireland. Thanks to the DUP

Nice one, Germany. It's good to see more countries allowing same-sex marriage because love is love, regardless of the gender of the two people.

Does "love is love" still apply if it includes 3, 4 or 10 people?
I mean after all, it is the current year.

Yeah, of course. Monogamy isn't the only type of relationship there can be, if someone wants to be with more than one person than so be it but I imagine when it comes to marriage, it's usually just 2 people.

How dare you think such a thing, marriage was invented by Queen Victoria as a thing for English Christians to do and no-one else
