Are you happy with your Habbo name?

Do you love or hate it? Have you changed accounts to a name you like more?

When I first made the account, I liked the name but now I'm not a big fan of it. I always get comments like "why are you talking if you're quiet?" or people call me the-quite-one. I understand it's bit to type so I can forgive that. I'd change accounts but I've had it so long that I wouldn't want to lose that.

Yeah I don't really mind it too much, people joke about it all the time but I don't mind. Had a lot of people think I was trying to be cool by adding an ly but they don't seem to be aware that the word actually means something

I emailed Player Support and asked if they could change my username to Bongo, and I received a reply from 0rca who happily dealt with my request. Thus I obtained an unobtainable name.

When I attempted to create an account on .COM in 2013, I found that I actually had an account made already, since 2011, so it happened to be too old and the "first-time-playing-nickname-changing" stuff wasn't there

I'm not that satisfied with this one because some people don't talk to me thinking that I'm a mindless noob (which is half true!), that's why I also have the old unused fella lucpix just for formal emergencies

Probably not. It's been over ten years since I got my name changed, and I haven't heard good things about player support these days, but worth a try I guess.

I don't know anything about name changes, but maybe if you email them and ask anyway seeing as it was generated through your Facebook name rather than you picking the name you wanted they might allow it. I'm not 100% sure though, as I said but it's always worth trying.

Yeah I'm happy enough with mine! When Habbo banned me for saying Habbox just after the merge I made an account called 'Philusionate' so people still knew who I was when I was Events Manager :L

Just remembered — I had an alt account I made a couple of years ago when they would give you a guest name (not sure if they still do this) and allow you to change it within 72 hours or whatever. I never changed the name, and ended up with an account called guest5927043 or something along those lines. A year or two ago I contacted player support asking if they could change my name since I missed the deadline, but they said they wouldn't allow it. I feel like player support were a lot more friendly when I got my named changed a long time ago. It also helped that my email address at the time was the same as my Habbo name, and they were all about security and not giving out your information back then. That said, I vaguely remember trying to get my name changed going back even further, but I never received a reply. It was only when 0rca joined the player support team that they got back to me. It's a shame there's nobody like her on the team anymore. Habbo is a bit faceless these days.

I'm not the biggest fan of my Habbo name but it's stuck. I don't think there's any point now to change it. Everyone on Habbo/Habbox knows me as Mikey even though no one in outside Habbo/Habbox calls me it.

Who knows I might change my forum name to Michael and creep everyone out. ;)

I am very pleased with my Habbo name. I made different avatars with different names but Pretty Loven always stuck with me.
The name is one of the first username I ever created on a social site. {For Habbo was the first website I ever joined at that time in 2008} So my username has a lot of history. LOL.

Really I should have made a thread asking what Habbo name people would want if they could have anything, and then slide in a little later saying; "Well, as chance would have it, I have come into possession of that name..." People got some really goods ones!

Unless I'm terribly mistaken, that merger of several hotels that happened made some very interesting combinations of nicknames available, such as though be fair to the new round of newbies they imagined would appear after the merger, or whatever

And guess what great opportunity I missed? Just a few days before my arrival to the English version of Habbo, the great username Lucas was shrewdly caught by an impostor who don't even play Habbo nowadays --- since 2014, lonely and absent!! If the insight of playing a foreign MMO had popped into my head just a few days before August 2011, I would be able to call myself LUCAS/Lucas/LuCaS/lucas now... not ProbablyLucas, or any of its variations, even though it is not that bad, heh. Just imagine that
