If a prisoner aka child murderer or serial killer was going to get executed. Would you go watch them being put to sleep via lethal injection? Assume it is legal in your country for 1 second.
By law there has to be state witnesses for any execution. Of the 38 US states that have the death penalty, more than a dozen require the presence of civilians at executions — on average, these states require a half-dozen witnesses with no connection to the crime victim or perpetrator and who are not members of the media. Something like that.
I would go. Even if it is the easy way out for some people.
