Just breaking now. :(

RIP Sir Bruce, one of the last old school variety acts that could dance, entertain, present.

A career that spanned decades - performed since the age of 14 until two years ago. Remarkable.

This has actually made me really sad, one of my favourite celebrities - watched a documentary a few years ago on him and it was amazing his work ethic, a really nice man too. Anyone like him who comes back against all odds and survives that many career ups and downs like has to be admired. Joan Rivers, Sir Bruce Forsyth... don't take Dame Angela Lansbury anytime soon. :(

So sad, such a genuinely lovely man who did so much for TV & entertainment as a whole. Will be hugely missed. RIP

Never liked him unfortunately, no justification as to why just never did. Still such a shame, massive loss to entertainment and to many hearts. RIP Bruce!

A real shame, he did so much for TV & Entertainment although pretty sure he was quite ill or at least had a lot of health issues. Even so, he'll be missed!

Interesting to note that Sir Bruce Forsyth holds the World Guinness Record for the longest TV career by a male entertainer - a career of over 75 years. Started in 1939 as an 11-year old on the BBC.

Where was he in the death pool?

rip

He was DeathList's 9th hit of the year and was 37th on the 2017 list. Weirdly looking at the list all those near the bottom of the list have passed where as the strongest candidates such as King Michael of Romania are avoiding the Reaper despite all odds - but it is only a matter of time. Given we're just past halfway through the year it wouldn't surprise me if 2017 is a record year.

DeathList has another (10th) hit already, big name on other side of the Atlantic.
