Would you go away for Christmas? Or do you like being home at Christmas?
I would. Given I hate cold weather send me to the Caribbean and I would be happy. I think though if I was staying somewhere colder for Christmas I would quite like to go to somewhere like Vienna (Austria), Moscow or St Petersberg (Russia) for Christmas. I imagine they'd be quite pretty and done up well for Christmas.
So would you go away and if so where?
I actually went away to Australia last Christmas to see my extended family and it was incredible - Christmas day in the pool was surreal but I'd do it again in a heartbeat (although I did miss the snow!!).

I had Christmas in Aussie three years ago, but that's not hugely different to NZ. I would happily go back to the UK to have a normal old Christmas again! It's been 10 years since I've had a proper cold Christmas Day!

No, Xmas is always family time especially given I have nieces and nephews.

Probably, I'd rather be somewhere nice and sunny. We don't spend as much time with family over Christmas anymore, especially since I moved out so while I do want to make Christmas special with my girlfriend and have our own traditions and everything, I'd still go away for it if I could.

Yeah to try it! I've been away in Florida up until Christmas Eve which was quite strange seeing all the Christmas decorations but it was really hot

I wouldn't mind going away if it was an option but I quite like being at home, there's something quite special about being at home around your family opening presents etc!

Perfect excuse not to! :P
I'd love a white Christmas just once, even though I hate the cold

probably not as it would be way too crowded at the airport and hard to catch flights, let alone them on time as everyone would be travelling to see their relatives/friends for christmas

I actually took a holiday to Lanzarote over Xmas a few years back. Flew on Xmas eve. I've never been on a flight that was so empty. There was about 60 people on board, if that.
But I suppose it's where you are flying from/to

I went to Florida for Christmas, it was beast! It was a bit weird not opening presents and being in a hotel room on Xmas day but I loved it!

This is something we usually at the year's end, one week after xmas, so no! For us, it's time to celebrate eating in a warm place, with all the family and the family of the family, eating and stuff, you know
I would but my partner wouldn't.
I went on holiday for Christmas once upon a time, had great fun but in my opinion Christmas is for spending time with friends and family.
