is anyone else doing dry january here?
I'm not doing it for charity but to support a friend. I'm really stressed and loads of crap has been going on for me in the last couple weeks including job stress and being ill so I am gagging for a glass of wine but I'm keeping it up so far.
before anyone jumps on me calling me an alcoholic i KNOW IT'S A COPING METHOD but I can clearly give up at any point I just don't have many functions for dealing well with stress and wine takes the edge off

No I'm not, to be honest it's usually dry every month but January for me lmao. The only time I ever really have a drink is my work's annual Christmas party.

While I’m not doing a sober January’s for alcohol I am doing it for my excessive sugar intake (reducing in dramatic level of being cold turkey against all highly processed sweets) I know o had very bad withdrawal symptoms. What kept my sanity was drinking water, excerising, and marathon movie watching

I've never understood dry January. Then again I rarely drink. Isn't it really easy?

This was my argument. For people that aren't addicted to Alcohol and just drink when they're out or with friends, surely if you can't last a month without alcohol you have absolutely no willpower. I think sometimes people do it for a detox to "start the year right" which I understand, but to see if "they can do it" I think it's pathetic if you can't.
