Rumours swirling around Westminster tonight that Brexit Secretary David Davis MP is about to walk

Resignation would likely spark a leadership crisis in the government

Yes, it really is crunch time this week and next for the Prime Minister. Important votes coming up on Brexit after the House of Lords added amendments, as well as a split opening over abortion in Northern Ireland in regards to some Tory MPs and the DUP over Direct Rule. It is, as they say, a perfect storm... and David Davis may be the one who kicks in the roof.

My sense is that while I was supportive of the PM, the indecisiveness has led to Tory remainers making way too much headway in muddying the waters. That said, her indecisiveness is down to the fact of the last General Election - she has no authority over the party. And that's something only a new leadership election + leader could solve.

Tomorrow will be interesting.

I'm not a fan of him but I think that's mostly because his name is really stupid. Rees-Mogg said the other day he doesn't want the leadership, so if he's out Davis is out and BoJo is out (as one of your reports seems to suggest) who would even be up for it

@FlyingJesus (https://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=24753);

Nobody who is launching a leadership bid ever says they want it until they actually launch it. :P

There will be a lot of back room horse-trading if a leadership challenge is on and May loses a confidence vote, but it is pretty certain the next leader would be a Brexiteer and would likely be Boris, Rees-Mogg, Gove etc. The likes of Mogg would walk the membership ballot (I would vote for him hands down) but his problem is securing the support of the parliamentary party to get on the members ballot. If I were a betting man, my money would go on Gove at this moment tbh.

Leadership elections are always very hard to read, as the last one showed!

So the Brexit Secretary and Prime Minister had a meeting Thursday morning and the issue was fudged, again. The real test will come this week as the Lords amendments come back to the Commons, a bumpy week ahead!

What's been interesting is despite the infighting and indecision in the Cabinet, these poll numbers...

Those working class figures for Labour are shocking. There's a Brexit re-alignment going on under the surface.
