[Habbox Birthday] Memories of 15 years!

Heya all!

As some of you may be aware Habbox will be turning 15 in July and we thought as it's our birthday in previous years we've made a fansite badge event to celebrate our birthday. We thought it'd be nice to use this thread for everyone to share some memories of Habbox over the last 15 years, some of these memories will be used in our upcoming birthday event!

This could be any memory, it could be a certain manager, an event you enjoyed, drama (please keep it clean though) and anything in between. If you could put the year that would be really helpful but don't worry if you don't know the year!

There's been many fantastic memories and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 15 years, here's to another 15+ eh? :D

So Habbox has always been my fav fansite because the it was my first 😉

First fansite I ever used and it has ALWAYS had such lovely down to earth staff who always make time for everyone..

I remmeber visitin Habboxforum to know anything about the englsh hotels. And this forum has been amazing always!
I was inspired in this and habbos.nt to create a spanish Habbo forum...

Fifteen years. That's mental. Congrats to all the staff and users for keeping it going this long. I've been here thirteen years and have some very fond memories. Certainly, this is one of the best communities on Habbo to be a part of.

My main memory is obviously the Samovar Crisis (http://www.habboxwiki.com/Samovar_Crisis) and all the protests for/against on the hotel. DRAMA

I ALSO remember numerous times attempts at bribing me as Rare Values Manager by traders who had bulk of one rare as well as big casino owners who would tell me they'd bought X item for Y price but I then got it from their friends who would tell me the real price as they were attempting to inflate the price on Habbox. :P Those were fun times, you sort of had to play detective to find out the truth. Was always useful to have certain traders who were trustworthy and were in-the-know who could relay all this information back to you.

All that just to get the right values it was madness lmao!

Then there were times when the Rare Values Managers/Assistants would update the values, but accidently type a wrong value in and would log off... they'd come back on hours later or the next day and there would be people trying to sell like a cheap poster for this extraordinary high value lol.

The Habbox 2015 General Election sure was fun. I can't believe that was 3 years ago.

Oh and Shipwrecked. That was a great long-running competition event thing by Mike and Shoned I think. Still waiting for part 2 after that cliffhanger ending... Inseriousity.

I have always fell in love with Habbox since my first time discovering this fansite. But I never really get to experience much except being an active listener (doing shout outs and requests cause I feel excited hearing my name on air :')). I did become a trialist dj and didn't pass because of 'voiceover' warnings which I never understood back then what was it. Lol. Tbh, I don't even know what does it really mean now too. Hahah. But I got to know @Richie (https://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=51359); and @Gemma (https://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=58722); among the few and they are so nice and friendly and everything I want in Habbo. So I felt like home. Which I still feels the environment today when I just return after years of hiatus.

Anyway, one of the thing I will always remember is that during hotel maintenance, god knows, so much people will be flooding the forums and be active! Currently the hotel is on maintenance, but yeah :'( I remember too about being warned for my avatars and signature (they used to be so strict with em). About the awesome reputation system. The very cool af graphic section (seriously the artwork they post back then was level 99999). And habboxlive with their overplayed Mambo Number Five. Lmao.

MY BIG MEMORY will always be the first HabboxLive win a room that I won that actually got me to sign up to Habbox!! Thanks to DJ Robbie and DJ Rave you have me :')

Other big memories; all hxss they've been great, staying up for last man standing @ hxhd, the old classic hxl party rooms, doing crazy mazes with people and huge things like spending my life updating the wiki!!!

One of my memories that involved all of habbox was the time of the Habbo blanket mute when we were hosting the Habbox Olympics. All the events were done in mime and through threads on the forum it was hilarious and rather memorable. Plus I swear that was the first time @lawrawrrr (https://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=61966); and I properly talked etc being on the same team, before that I was a bit intimidated ;) not anymoreee

Loads of memories over the many many many many many years obv, a lot of the best probably being during HxSS - the times people actually behaved of course! Much less fun when people try to spoil it, hoping this year is a fun friendly oneeeeee

Randomly discovered Habbox in HxHD at a time it was all white with a Greek-ish thematic and I told em "making pixel art is cool isn't it" and then Elegance said "We have a department dedicated to the production of pixel art!!", made a HxF intro thread called "landing in a foreigner planet beep beep" and everything's changed since then!

A fair amount of my memories on Habbox was purely dedicated to the production of graphics lol how photoshop rat can somebody be?? I believe I only started to discuss things with the proper depth and confidence recently and, consequently, I write my history here every single day!

Indeed joining Summer Spectacular for the very first time (in both the games and the gfx productions) was amazing and it's clear that it brings to the whole game an interesting and unusual flame and "hype" from the team spirit and a healthy rivalry that Habbo needs lmao

my favourite memories of this fansite is the friendships I gained from it, and also the skills I’ve gained such as customer service, looking after a team etc. But overall, friendship over plays it all, it’s was and still the only reason I log onto Habbo and Habbox is to chat with old friends :)

Shipwrecked 2 isn't gonna happen Lewis, sequels are never as good as the originals. And I've got a job. I was practically glued to my computer for 2 weeks running that.

I loved the Hx Olympics. I was going to postpone that, thought the whole event would be a disaster but figured the mute probably wouldn't last too long. Lasted the whole event and then some more on top! I think it does show how the community is willing to adapt to different situations and was relieved how fun it turned out being. How strange that you teamed up with people you didn't know, I figured people would just team up with friends but it brought people together as well, how nice.

As for my own memories, just talking to people either in HxHD (light hearted conversation and banter) or the forum (debate, discussion, usually more serious) or Skype (mixture of both). There are a lot of varied, interesting and hilarious people at Habbox. Hours would sometimes fly by!

I grew up with this site (obviously less so the past few years) but it was a lot of fun working with the RV Dep in my first few years here, and for a short time on the mod team (iirc). Although unfamiliar with most of the community now and most likely vice versa, it really is a gem of a place!

Oh I have way to many memories. Most I cannot share unfortunately. But Habbox has created friendships that I have for a lifetime.

My favourite would be the skype calls I had. & hanging out in the helpdesk.

Habbox was my first ever fansite when I was a little young DJ.
