I have never had an easy time when I go get take out. Whether it be someone forgot my straw, or gave me my bag of food without any napkins in it. I've even had someone hand me my drink that was only 3/4 full, I stopped and asked her to fill it up and she rolled her eyes at me and gave me an excuse as to why it was 3/4 full. After about 10 seconds of staring her down she ended up filling it up to the proper level.

So for this competition, tell us one of the weirdest/worst excuses someone has given you regarding your wrong order, or tell us about a messed up order that really annoyed you.

It is very weird because this happen about a few days ago. I had an order of fries, a burger and a chocolate shake. When my order was called, everything was mixed up. It was a chili with some fries but mostly chili. A burger with no lettuce or sauce, just the bun and the meat. And for the shake it was just basically an ice cream float. I have tried to ask about them the order but they gave me the wrong receipt so most of my orders were wrong. I had to get a refund just for my lost food.

I’ve had A LOT of problems with orders at fast food restaurants in the past. But the worst “excuse” I’ve ever heard was when I had found a hair in my Taco at Taco Bell (and no, it wasn’t mine). When it happened, i was clearly disgusted because I wondered how many were in there that I already are. But, I brought it up to the counter and told the worker who then told a manager, and all the manager said was, “well I dont know how you found one because everyone wears hair nets.” End of conversion. No free order, no new food. Just brushed me off like it was nothing. Disgusting :(

A few years ago we ordered a Chinese takeaway and my dad went to pick it up. So we dish it out (the portions were massive so it managed to feed my mum/me and my sister as we got chips as well), so I'm there eating away when I see something on my plate. At first I thought it was a hair, but it was really clumpy and it mangled into the food. So upon inspection (I'm sat in the kitchen eating, the rest of my family are in the living room for context), it turned out it was part of a Brillo pad that they had used to clean the pots out previously, but it was filthy and it looked awful. I shouted to my mum to come into the kitchen and she knew full well something was wrong with my food with the way I reacted - I refused to eat it, we got a full refund, but they weren't at all fussed about it, and we never went to that Chinese again (until very recently we thought we'd try it just to see if it had improved, it had a bit to be honest, but not enough for us to order from lots as we used to get one once a week).

I went through a McDonald's drive through.. ordered 3 happy meals cus I'm tight and I feel.i get more for my money with 3 happy meals than I do with one big Mac..

Anyway I xollexf at next window and they give me like 8 cheese burgers.. me being a greedy bastard I don't say anything hahaa

Then I look at the recent and find out I lost out on like £3.. BUT BY THAT TIME.I HAD ALREADY EATEN all if them hahaa

So I technically didn't get an excuse for my ring order cud I didn't complain

I had been out to party and me and my friends wanted a night snack so we headed to this fast food restaurant that does burgers.
I ordered a veggie burger and once my order finally came it turned out to be a veggie burger, but it was the BBQ veggie burger!
I dont like BBQ sauce but I was pretty wasted and starving, so I ate half of it, and after that I realized that I wanted the burger I
originally ordered...the cravings were bad! So I went up to the counter and said "THIS IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED!" and shoved them
the burger that I had eaten halfway....and amazing enough hes like "ohhh I'll get you a new one!". They obviously weren't going to
ask me to return the burger so I finished the BBQ burger and then got the one I originally wanted and finished that as well :)

Never had a negative experience I think....don't order too much take out.

one of the most weirdest was when I went into a café I ordered a sweet and a small hot chocolate, their was a few old people reading in the shop and that's it, my voice is pretty loud I mean im half greek so you can expect, turns out they gave me my drink and took my number away. After waiting 5minutes I went up to find out what happened they then accused me of not ordering my sweet and only my drink therefore I had to go and pay and this time for this. On top of that their was weird issues with the table I was on it was wobbly and when the waitress brought my drink it spilt she put 3 napkins under the table to hold it in place, and didn't get me another drink to replace the one she just destroyed all over.

The place accused me of making it all happen. Eventually I had to tell them all off for their poor service, so now when ever I come in either by myself or with another person they do mine immediately and have to repeat what I say therefore not to stuff up again.

McDonald’s forgot my burger but gave me chips! So I went back in to complain and the guy was rude he quoted “ I’m only a student and on minimum pay” I said well tbh I don’t really care as the customer is always right! And I want my burger or a refund for the entire meal. Took me like 15 mins but got my burger in the end then I said after you made me wait 15 mins for a burger you can also get me fresh chips then he rolled his eyes at me so again I stood there with in a minute he gave me my chips and I left.

I went to a chicken nuggets place in edinburgh last week and i ordered sweet chilli nuggets and it came and it was so hot!!!!! Turns out the waitress 'heard' hot chilli. I was mad and apparently they had run out of sweet chilli so they gave me complimentary drink to deal with the heat lol hmm

One time I ordered two iced chocolates but the manager made and called out two iced coffees and I was the only one there so they were mine, the cashier had put them through wrong. So I explained and the manager made them correctly but I felt so bad because as I was leaving she started telling the cashier off, I should have looked at the screen when I ordered I did think it was a little cheap at the time.

I'm so awkward so I usually don't even say anything. Another time I was at McDonalds and ordered some chips. As I was waiting a person before me said they had missed out on her chips or something so they looked through all of the orders waiting and gave her her chips and threw away the receipt which I'm guessing was actually mine because I kept on waiting while people after me were called. But I had a train to catch and I was too shy so I just walked off it was so awkward.
