As education is LIFELONG, even those of us who have been out of formal education for years still learn thing every day!
I thought I'd make this thread after I learnt something this morning that BLEW MY MIND:
aviation = avian emulation
it literally means emulating avians (birds) who knew??
POST the things you have learnt today (or recently) and we can all share new interesting knowledge!!

Indeed we get to learn something new every day! It's cool to imagine all those nights we do have impacting, lucid dreams... these were the days we've learnt the most, or at least did shake our brains enough so it's had a hard time attempting to reconfigure itself as a way of receiving the new learned info of the day, which is not too far from true!
Most of the learnt thing now are more about "life lessons" (or whatever we should call them) instead of "facts"
- If you do what you want, you'll kinda regret doing. But if you don't do what you want, you'll regret it too
- One of the most disappointing aspects of a human being is their lack of ability of giving up of themselves a little bit to become more present, interpersonal, more or a listener. For some reason or another I tend to feel some repulsive against those who can't spend a time without using loads of first person pronouns in a conversation, even when it comes to subjects that has little to nothing to do with themselves lol. It's not a biggie, we get it, but some of them really can't do it without seeming to be disgusting narcissists or someone who's on a personal battle to seem to be relatable as that's the average contemporary conception of what's being interesting IRK
- Motivation, if really existed, would be like a magic potion sold in wizard taverns or something. Technically, we're never going to "feel like it"; actually we only feel like doing something after we about time do it, that's how crazy we are
- Reading becomes way more interesting and remarkable if you do it simulating all of your senses instead of "just picturing what's written"

Don't worry about it. If employees are missing their deadlines without punishment there's no comeback for you. :)

I went to a workshop today about "Financial Literacy" well I learned 1. I will never have a credit card/loans 2. I will have to write a prenup before I get married because in my state if I were to divorce my spouse all our assess ill be split in half. So . . . No . . . I would need something in writing before I get into a serious relationship.
Another thing I learned is if you are on the waitlist for a course that is full and there is a spot but you leave halfway, then you are basically dropped from the list.

1) There's nothing wrong with having a credit card if you're financially responsible, if anything it helps you out by improving your credit rating.
1.1) You're going to get a mortgage at some point unless your family is rich
2) Pointless unless you have stupid money tbh
2.1) Your partner might be a lot richer than you so you'd stand to gain money ;)
I don't get the other statement, if you're on a waiting list and you leave, you're dropped from the list? That makes sense no, you've left?! huh

I was #2 on the list. There was one open spot in the class. The girl who was #1 on the waitlist left the class halfway and when we did roll call again I basically took her spot and now she is dropped from the waitlist for not showing up.

That I will cut a connection with a girl I thought was my friend. She made plans w me but never showed. I never got a call or message. (praise).
Oh I also found out all the Net Costs that I would have to pay out of pocket when I transfer to a 4 Year University. So, since $ is the real deal I'll need to ask parents what they will help me pay. I have 2 options: 1 school costs $7k a year BUT out of all the medical schools I've been looking for stats no one was accepted from that school. The other option cost around 10/11k? a year but it includes research opportunities which medical schools want to see from applicants. This will be a very long conversation coming up w/ parents.

That homes built around 1930 tend to have the bedroom ceiling light close to the window instead of the centre of the room.. looks odd to me! I queried it with our estate agent and apparently it was so that shadows of ladies undressing were not on the curtains for the outside to see. I found that interesting!

I've learnt that, yes, it is possible to find joy alone as long as you give time to time and the high level of ecstasy brings the UNCONTROLLABLE need to speaking to myself, simulating conversations as though someone else is by my side but without embodying the figure of an imaginary friend??

Today I learned that despite I have a 'good' soft skill in doing public speaking, poem declamation, debating and what not, I still can't figure out how to comfort people in sadness. I just don't know what to say.

I just don't know what to say.
You tell them you are there for them if they ever need to talk, tell them you care about them, invite these people to places because it is much worse being alone. You also never blame them or say “This is only a phase” because it may seem like a small problem to someone else. If you see or hear something suspicious you should probably tell their family member if it’s much more than sadness.
