Is it just me or is it everybody :

That sometimes, when I look in the mirror, I think that I may be one of those model worthy but a few seconds later, dang, am I not just the ugliest creature on Earth.

I wish I was born handsome naturally that I admire myself whenever I look at the mirror and never once thinks the opposite T.T

One can be pretty or even handsome without being beautiful as in model beautiful. And yes, you're the same as everybody else - sometimes you'll look in the mirror and look rough/haggard/hair won't sit right etc but that's just life. We can't all look 100% all of the time!

I daresay even models suffer the same. You have to remember also, models don't just walk on the photo set and start shooting - a team of makeup artists, hair stylists and lighting specialists are all working on them and the shoot - and that's before the photographs are doctored!

You need to watch youtube videos of the amount of editing the model pictures get anyway.

On da title of yer thread: As somebody who's had to spend some good hours seeing your face to draw a caricature, the answer is yes

Just like tastes in music and books (ha!), the idea of what's beautiful is subjective and not only there're infinite types of beauty but, to make it even more complicated, everyone has their very personal ideas of what's beautiful for real, which makes the thought on the existence of an absolute beauty (or the idea of beauty itself) completely fake news!!

Even if you're posed as a frog fiercely observing a mosquito above you

I don't know if this COUNTS but sometimes I do my makeup in the morning and think yayyy you look good today you go girl then I go out and catch my face like reflecting in my phone or go to the toilet later in the day and it's SHOCKING how bad my face looks. Lighting can be so deceptive :(

I’ve heard of women’s changing rooms having distorted mirrors to make you look thinner but EVERY CHANGING ROOM EVER has such terrible lighting it makes you feel so crappy?????

Yeah, I think most people feel that way. Personally I think I look better in the mirror than I do in photographs. Although sometimes I feel DISGUSTING then I have a few drinks and see my reflection and I'm like WOW WHAT A CATCH *+*+*+*+*+*
