There was a big petition (https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-nintendo-of-america-get-danny-devito-to-voice-the-english-version-of-detective-pikachu) to get Danny DeVito when the film was announced years ago. He would have been so good!

Looks banging, my only fear is that it'll be too much like Ted but I reckon they can avoid that sort of nonsense. Interesting decision to use that game as a basis for it, I reckon it's Nintendo et al dipping their toes in the live action waters before fully committing to a film or series of films following the main games

when i first saw this the other day on my own throne at home. i was speechless.
jaw dropped and i was in awe...
this looks like it could be the "Pokemon Go" Of Pokemon Movies. if done correctly.
but i agree danny devito would have been awesome!
maybe ryan reynolds will kill it tho.
