I had this group of students, begging me to bring them to cinema. Since they rarely go to cinema (they are all below 13yo) and some even never been to one, so I decided, it's okay. However, we ended up having to choose between two movies; fantastic beast and 7ujuh (a malaysian horror movie). I wanted to watch fantastic beast so much but most of them just wanna watch the other (maybe because of the language difficulty). I ended up watching with them the horror movie. I feel so bad for letting them choose the movie rn. I don't think they should be watching that movie plus they are also some smoking weed and drinking alcohol scenes (which is a taboo in malaysia and goes against our culture).

What do you think? It is rated 13+ and require a guardian if lesser than that. But still...

Being Students, I think parents permission should have been sought before attending a rated film... As some parents are more strict than others and might not have wanted their children to watch any kind of rated film without them first giving it a thumbs up themselves.

Yeah, I guess that was my mistake. Should have figure out from the beginning what movie we'll be watching. It was my first time and I learn from my mistake. I hope so. If not, i'll keep on losing parents trust. T.T
