A Child Abuse Story.

I found this poem and i thought i'd post it because its really touching:

I cut myself today again
Mummy said I was bad,
Daddy punched my face today
I think I made him mad.
I scream but no sound comes out
There are bruises on my ribs
I’m scared in case he starts to shout
I’ll have to tell my teachers fibs
I don’t know why this happens
I just don’t understand
I try to be a good girl
Could someone lend a hand?

I wish my daddy understood
How sad he makes me feel
The pain outside will go away
But the inside never heals.

Dear Teddy

Teddy, I’ve been bad again, my mommy told me so
I'm not quite sure what I did wrong, but I thought that you should know
When I woke up this morning, I knew that she was mad
‘Cause she was crying awful hard, and yelling at my dad

I tried my best to be real good, and do just what she said
I cleaned my room all by myself, I even made my bed
But I spilled milk on my good shirt, when she yelled at me to hurry
And I guess she didn’t hear me, when I told her I was sorry.

‘Cause she hit me awful hard, you see, and called me funny names
and told me I was really bad, and that I should be ashamed!
When I said "I love you mommy, I guess she didn’t understand
‘Cause she yelled at me to shut my mouth, or I’d get smacked again.

So I came up here to talk to you, please tell me what to do
‘Cause I really love my mommy, and I know she loves me too
And I don’t think my mommy means to hit me quite so very hard
I guess sometimes grown ups forget, how really big they are!

So teddy, I wish you were real, and you weren’t just a teddy bear
Then you could help me find a way to tell mommy’s everywhere
To please try hard to understand, how sad it makes me feel
‘Cause the outside pain soon goes away, but the inside never heals!

And if we could make them listen, maybe then they’d understand
So other children just like me, wouldn’t have to hurt again
But for now I guess I’ll hold you tight and pretend the pain’s not there
I know you’d never hurt me, so goodnight teddy bear!
Scream a very loud NO!

I've heard that poem before.

Very sad, those sort of parents deserve to get a battering of there own, however, in most cases, the parents who do this have had this from when they were a child. So in both cases, its sad for the parents too.

The mind is so strong, it can with hold many thoughts which sometimes, cannot be lost.

Its sad to know that this happens to children every day.

It Gets Worse Evryday .. It Turns Out Its Not Just The Parents That Can Child Abuse Grandparents Do It Too There Grandsons And Granddaughters I Know That Sounds Rather Untrue I Had Moved From My Moms When I Was 5 And Went Too My Nans It Turned Out She Gave Me The Worst Time Of My Life Hittin Me For Doin Stuff I Didnt Do It Turned Out She Never Found Out It Was My Aunty Who Was Gettin me Into This Trouble But I Dont Get How Many People Think Tht All Grandparents Give You Money Sweets Its Like They Have A Disguise [Sorry Bout Poor Spelling]

child abuse is much more recognised. I don't know if u saw it when it was on, but in an Old Folks Home (sorry I have forgotton the correct term for this. please tell me) all the staff were abusing the old men and women. Its quite sad considering many of them would of contributed to the war and the modern world. The staff would put them under scalding hot showers and break their fingers. It was really terrible, and their just as helpless as children. Really sad.

By far, the worse abuse I have heard, and sadly seen (textbooks, internet etc. not upclose) was that against the mentally ill. Truly, truly horrific. Its sad becuase they don't understand and are more helpless than anyone else. I won't go into specifics. :(

I saw an animal abuse on the PETA website once which made me realy sick. It disturbed me more than anything I've ever seen before.

The people who abuse people and animals should have the same treatment done to them and hopefully, in the process they will die a horrible death.

Its a sick world.

Wow im just depressed now :( I dont see why peop;e abuse children it dosnt make them any harder, smarter, fatter, thinner, prettier so i dont know why they do it :(
