So, does your primary school/high school still exist?

Both my primary and high school still exist, although the primary has been partially demolished and re-built and the same is happening right now to my high school. It's pretty sad to see but at least original parts remain!

One friend of mine, his first high school ceased to even exist. It's just wasteland now.

How about you?

As far as I’m aware all three of mine still exist although my high school in the UK have renamed themselves but that’s really the extent of the change.

All of mine exist, I think they've just changed the name of one of them.

My high school went into special measures whilst I was there, and closed the year after I left. It's an academy now. I think my lower and middle ones are still around, but I went to a couple so I'm not actually sure.

Mine all do although some classrooms I was in have been removed and new buildings have been built.

My dad's primary and high school were both demolished after he left, they're both just houses now.

My primary school still exists however the main hallway was burnt down the year after I left, it was completely rebuilt whilst majority of the students were having their lessons in portacabin things?

Both of my secondary schools still exist unfortunately.

Actually, none of my former schools exist in their former forms. Except for my high school, the high school hasn't changed since MY dad went there, when it was built and brand new in 1992. But my primary school was demolished and rebuilt, and my intermediate school was completely demolished and is currently a giant plot of grass, not even trees!

Nope. Mine closed down a while ago.

We were the last county that I know of to be still implementing a 3 tier school system. I grew up not knowing what primary and secondary schools are, or what ages/years they're to and from, and to be honest, I'm still not sure lol. I grew up with Lower school which was from year 1-4, then we went onto Middle school which was from years 5-8, then upper school from years 9-11, but about 3 years ago, they finally adopted the norm and closed down the middle school I went to, which is now being used by the police for Police Dog training.

The buildings are there but there's been a big ol' shakeup since down here we've for some reason adopted the northern system of having primary and secondary instead of first, middle, high school. Used to make SENSE having 4 years at each, now it's like ok let's pretend that 4 year olds and 11 year olds belong in the same building and also that 11 year olds and 18 year olds should hang out together

That's news to me, I didn't know northern and southern had variations in regard to school years? Is this normal throughout the southern shires?

The only differences I really knew about were that Kent and Northern Ireland still retain a number of Grammar schools.

My secondary school is now called a high school and they've completely redone the uniform. Otherwise all the schools are the same. Though they keep saying they're going to knock down my old secondary school and have like a 2 school system only. That's a completely different topic though.

I'm going to cycle past my old high school when I am back at Easter, have a glimpse before a large part of it is pulled down. :'(

See, I'm northern as you know ;) and in my town we had two infant schools (one with a nursery combined), a solo junior school and two infant schools combined, then two high schools (one which was a sixth form as well) - I didn't know it was a southern thing to have three schools!

Actually, I've just realised I went to a separate nursery as well (and play school before that), the nursery went privatised and you have to pay through the nose now, so they merged the old nursery into the infant school I went to. So my schools worked out at nursery - then reception to year 2 - year 3-6 then 7-10 then 11-12 for college.

I went to the solo nursery, then the infant school without a nursery, then the solo junior school, then the high school without a sixth form (I then went on to college in the next town). All of them still exist, but the high school has changed its name a lot since I was there (it changed when I started, then changed to an academy when I left, then lost its academy status and had to change again).

I grew up thinking going to three schools was the norm, it wasn't until I moved up to high school that I found out that some people just went to one school until high school.

Both my Primary & Secondary still exist.

Best thing that happened for me, I've actually been back to train some of my previous teachers in behaviour management (I was the worst behaved pupil ever hahaha) & they had to pay £175 per person for that experience!
