Facebook down for some?

Well for some, including me, Facebook is down and all they're saying is that it's due to maintenance but won't specify what maintenance they're doing.


This usually means we're making an improvement to the database your account is stored on. While this process won't affect your account, you temporarily won't be able to access the site.

For some of us, Facebook will still work as normal as they say they don't do maintenance on all accounts at once.


Keep in mind, we don't do site maintenance on all accounts at the same time. It's possible that your friends will be able to access the site while your account is still unavailable.

However, if you're already logged into Facebook, you should still be able to use it if your account is affected, however, if you try to log out and back in again, you may be one that's affected and not be able to access your account.

I stay logged in so I'm not currently having this problem. I had a memory notification and couldn't read it because it came up as an error though.

Facebook owns it so I guess you probably would... I wonder if WhatsApp has been having trouble as well?

My WhatsApp is fine and FB is mostly fine, only issue I'm having with FB is messenger, images seem to be dodgy (failing to send/receive).

I'm still signed into Facebook, but it keeps jumping and showing me random parts of my news feed (on mobile anyway). I don't use Instagram really, but I know it's having trouble. Also you can't send images or voice clips on WhatsApp, or if it manages to send it takes a few attempts/ages to do it.

It was just probably a little blip they went through, all services up and running as normal now...
