View Full Version : [Life] If you could speak to yourself in the past...

As you might be aware - it is Mental Health week and Habbox are playing their part on that no one should ever be ashamed to have Mental Health or know someone that does have Mental Health.

With that, we spend a lot of time growing up trying to be someone we are not - in order to try and "fit in". This does cause us to use our time to grow up really fast and worried about most things - even if you were the most chilled child going there would be things that would stress you out easily!

If you could go back in the past and speak to yourself, what would you say?

For me - I would tell myself to enjoy being a child more, don't spend too long inside, hiding from the world and appreciate family members that are no longer around and to not worry about school 'status' and essays/exams as they aren't as bad as they seem and life has a funny way of working out in the end.

Also, don't forget you can send someone a message of kindness for free whether anomalously or named - it can make a huge difference to someones day, click here (https://habbox.com/beekind) for more information.

Carry on as you are.

There's things about the past I may do differently, but it is only because I have grown that their influence has shaped me now.

I would tell myself not to worry so much and to appreciate the people in my life a lot more!

Life after school gets better. Don't try and fit in at school when everyone outside of school is trying hard to stand out. Be the who that you are and be proud.

Continue to radiate a positive energy to those around you and remember that happiness is a choice, don't let others get you down.

Don't be afraid of heartbreak, or giving someone your all and not having it returned. Heartache and pain make you grow stronger and you'll eventually learn from these experiences what you want in a relationship and what is important to you.

probably to chill and enjoy life, and if I want to do something then just do it instead of saying YEAH I'LL DO IT NEXT WEEK or something similar

I wasted years planning/saving for the future instead of just enjoying life at the time with the people around me

I'd disagree with that

just cause you're old ;)

Don't trust everyone that says they're your friend.

Don't trust everyone that says they care about you.

Don't trust anyone!

Dont you think that it's the struggles you face in life that mould you into the person you are today. Therefore without those challenging times, you wouldn't be the same person and wouldn't have learned the same lessons.

The things I'd say to my younger self have no place on a forum where children and vulnerable people can see. Suffice to say it would be unpleasant

I know what you mean, but I still think i'd have a much better life if I had followed that advice :(
I suppose I might not have had so much empathy or my personality may have been different... who knows. It's all hypothetical anyway haha!
