Drug test for work

Long story short, I went for an interview for a better job today which I was successful in (yay). Before I was allowed on site I had to give a urine sample for a drugs test. I passed it (luckily) the only thing that come back on it was that there was nicotine in my system. I haven't smoked now for well over 6 months so am wondering how it got there. Do you get nicotine in your system through second hand smoke?

I've googled but cannot seem to find a decent answer. I've even texted the FRANK text line and they told me they aren't medically trained so cannot offer any advice.

I'd imagine it says in your system for a while?
Maybe it's 2nd hand smoke?

A lot of substances take a ridiculously long time to leave your system entirely, and especially if you were a full on smoker before it's prob been backed up for a while :P wouldn't worry about it lucky it was only nicotine!,
