It's almost here again, are you on the look out for anything?
Never on the look out for anything but I'm a sucker for deals, so I always end up something something... Often something I've wanted to buy but never did because I'm an adult now and need to control my urge to buy what I want I want due to insufficient funds yet the acquisition of a credit card.
I think last year I ended up buying another Alexa device for my lorry..

Same typically, although last year I wanted some smart home stuff (few bulbs, door sensor, echo) so spent a few hundred on them, then prime day this year tied in with me buying my house so went through about 2.5k on smart home stuff (smoke/carbon alarms, CCTV, colour bulbs for every light, few more echos, echo with screen for recipes in the kitchen, smart remote, a lot more door/motion sensors, and a few other deals I found like pressure washer)..
I don't have too much on my list but I want a NAS + few 4TB drives, Nintendo Switch and a bunch of smart plugs probably, and I might end up buying another smart remote for bedroom TV..
if you're going to blow money may as well do it when it's a bit cheaper :P
Hahaha yeah my home is all smart now.. perhaps not as much as you've bought, but I've got all Phillips hue lighting and smart plugs and a few Alexa devices.. got a Echo Spot in the kitchen and 2 other normal Alexa devices scattered around the house... Then the dot in my cab... motion sensor led strips in the hallway and on the bannister so when I walk out at night it glows nice and warm light so I can see my way downstairs or to the bathroom
Haven't got anything in the way of home smart security though, maybe that's next for me..
Should get the WD MyCloud Ex 2 I think it's called... I have the 12TB one.. works wonders for me as a lorry driver as I can access all my files from anywhere... That brings my PC up to 22.1TB storage space :) 10.1TB being internal.
Tbh I probably won't actively look for things to buy this year, I need to save money, and luckily cause I use a VPN 100% of the time. I won't be tempted with things via advertisements.

The only smart things I have to do is thermostat (I'm going to get nest at some point but need to get 2 since I have multizone, just not sure how much I value them though because my current thermostat has timings anyway which work around my day.. so not such how much value I'd see in it but I'll no doubt do it anyway) and the burglar alarm (current alarm is your standard one that installers fit rather than anything smart like Yale's Smart Alarm, again not sure how much value in upgrading it as my current one can be armed/disarmed remotely and push notif on alarm being triggered etc..).
I will eventually replace every socket with lightwave RF too probably at some point next year (trying to justify spending £1.5k to introduce smart sockets though).

Some computer bits perhaps, there's a case I want but isn't particularly important if I can't find it on offer. Not like you get great offers here without spending thousands anyway

Not particularly, but I'll probably find something! I know my boyfriend will probably get a phone, and I'll just look for bargains that take my fancy. I am looking for my boyfriend's main Christmas present, and I'm hoping it'll come down in price on ASDA as I have points that I convert into money to get it a bit cheaper!

nope nothing
i do need a new laptop but i'll probably run this into the ground first
Ok so I kinda ended up buying a new monitor for my PC... Nothing wrong with my current one, but I have always wanted a Ultrawide monitor to replace my current 2 monitors, was browsing the early black friday deals and ended up buying one on the spot for £560
Should be arriving today!!

I've only bought a new jacket and Acronis subscription so far.
Switch is down to £239 and Xbox X down to £300 which is tempting me but I never play them unless niece and nephew are here :-\
That is many coins
Yeah but it was reduced from £700.. so I had too right?

I don't have any moneyyyy
Well I do but I haven't got myself organised for what to get people for xmas so might not have time to buy anything in deals. Also weirdly I've come full circle in the last year and now prefer bricks and mortar shops to online shopping again which is fun.
So NO probably not unless I think of something I need/want in the next week.

Black Friday isn’t really a big deal here for most people, and the current recession isn’t helping.
Side note, there was a deadly tornado that tore through my city back in 1987. That day went on to be known as “Black Friday”. I wasn’t around yet but an uncle of my mom’s side of the family was killed in the path of destruction. Crazy shit. Retail stores have got nothing on the chaos of that day lol. But hooray consumerism anyway!

ok what did everyone get then
I was hugely disappointed with every tech sale tbh, nest only dropped like 30 quid so I'll wait.. I need some smartthings plugs but they were cheaper before Black Friday/Cyber Monday...
I got:
- new bone conduction earphones for running (normal earphones are banned in most races by UK Athletics for safety) and they're weird af it's magic
- 2 new jackets (dress jacket and light jacket) so still trying to find a good heavier jacket
- a bunch of jumpers, hoodies and shirts
I remember why I bloody hate clothes shopping, sizes are a pain in the ass
at least the disappointing tech sales means I only spent 450 over the weekend

Yeah literally saw like 2 decent deals, most of it is just a fiver off the normal price but they write in an inflated price as the "before". My phone for example I bought a month ago, it's currently a whoooooooole £10 less than I paid (from the same seller) but claims to be £50 off so go figure
