So shocked to read this news today, I thought it was a hoax when I first read it, until I Googled it myself!

I thought about posting this, but like you I didn't know it was true at first as it wasn't confirmed. I can't believe it, it's weird my eldest sister came over earlier and we were talking about Love Island and how we liked Caroline presenting it. Awful news though.

It's a shame that... (and I'm just speculating here since I've not done any research) it was more than likely media fuelled suicide.
With her on-going investigation about domestic abuse and awaiting her trail, and the media always doing their best to paint anyone in the public eye in the worst possible light with no concern about whether or not something is true and reporting on things without the full story and/or any viable evidence or sources... I'm not just talking about Caroline Flack, the media in general...

Words are powerful, especially if those words reach millions of people on a daily basis..
"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" was a phrase created in 1862 when that was probably true.

Online actions and words have real world consequences. It’s incredibly sad news. This country has a serious issue with the gutter press and the hatred they can muster from a smear campaign.

As sad as the news is, we have a free press in this country and public figures are naturally going to be scrutinised when they (allegedly) do wrong.

Thought he tribute to her was going to be a little better than just a speech...

I kind of want expecting a montage of all the best bits from Love Island and her life in general.

His voice cracked, you could tell he really was upset about it all - I saw someone post something similar saying it wasn't much to say what a big part of Love Island she was. However, someone else commented saying that you have to remember they are grieving for their friend. I think perhaps they might address it again on the aftersun they do since that will be Laura Whitmore and she's heartbroken about it. I see what you mean about clips though, but a lot of it might have just been her walking into the villa to give the islanders bad news.

Yeah I did notice his voice cracked and could tell he was upset... Hopefully they do a little something more, would be nice to see a montage to put a smile on people's faces, rather than just a eulogy type speech which did the opposite
