Another odd question but through life there are obviously a lot of ups & downs but sometimes everything can feel overwhelming or just get a bit too much... how do you cope?
I'm sure everyone has had a point in their life where it feels like everything is going wrong for them or just that life is extremely unfair, how did you cope with it and get out of the pitfall?

well rn i'm on anti-depressants and getting therapy so i guess that's how i'm coping and that's out of necessity
generally in the past i've hit the bottle or sought out an emotional connection from all the wrong places.
now i'm just trying to better myself in more practical ways like exercise, self-help courses, reading articles and talking to old friends and just going out and doing stuff, being in nature, being "present" instead of ruminating and staying at home. talking to a 3rd party or someone who is more of a stranger is helpful too.

I don't do anything really?

If everything is going wrong etc then you just need to power through and keep doing what you're doing.

I think everyone at some point has felt like that.. I know I have, but I just had to take it one day and one step at a time and hope that it got better by simply doing things that made me happy rather than trying to please anyone else.

I tend to listen to music and switch off- or speak to my friends about how i'm feeling.
Main things that stress me are work; but speaking to colleagues helps that.

I keep it all to myself and go be alone and cry it out haha. Someone pointed out to me the other day that I am very stoic and it’s true I don’t share my feelings a lot and get so annoyed when people push me to share more with them.

Depends on the situation, really. I like to lay in the grass, blast music, or talk to my friends.

I used to watch films and disappear in its various worlds. Although a few years back I discovered running in the countryside, and the feeling after a run is so positive that I got hooked. I try to do it as much as I can these days, but it definitely helps to alleviate any situation.

Talking to someone helps me. But I had a really bad week last week and my local mental health place phoned me up and I said how bad I was and he just said phone me next week and we will talk about upping your medication [emoji2955] I was telling him I was having constant suicidal thoughts, self-harming daily etc and he just spoke about upping medication [emoji2369] rip me. Actually I'm not too bad now cos I had a good chat with someone which helped

I don't, I get angry - I swear a lot, I shake, I cry.... aaaand nothing changes so I carry on. I've been saying it's been a long year since the 2nd January - little did everyone know when I was saying that, that we'd be in this worldwide mess right now and now everyone thinks it's been a long year! Personal victories and all that.

Until like start of this year i haven't been coping... :P Started on anti-depressants end of last year after having a full on breakdown, but yeah now I cope by playing vidya games, reading, staying away from social media a bit more and making sure that I avoid triggering myself whenever I feel Im getting to something that could spark a response. Doing that has massively helped me, more like helping yourself innit.
