View Full Version : How do you get to work?
How do you usually get to work? Sustainability is obviously a big thing at the moment, are you doing anything to help tackle it? e.g. getting public transport, car sharing, etc?
I drive myself to work in my car...
I only travel to work on a Monday and back home on a Friday. So don't cost me much

15m walk > 30-40m train > 5m walk > 7m tube > 2m walk.
Home is opposite way round.
It's not really an option to drive or any other way when you work in central Londonnnnn.
I do not enjoy trains when they're busy or delayed.

Arn't the trains always delayed?!! How much do you have to pay for train tickets; is it like shocking?
I get taxi; this works out cheaper than public transport weirdly…
An hour commute each way in a diesel car everyday.. Until those 100 companies responsible for 71% of global emissions clean up their act, why should I care?

My ticket is 1.8k but I get a discount through work which is good.... :)

15 min walk > Train for 20 mins > 5 min walk > bus for 15 mins > college
Hate the busy mornings though delayed and always packed

drive, though honestly prefer getting the train. pretty much leave/get home at the same time as if i got the train without the luxury of being able to chill a bit and go on my phone. though at their worst, driving is better since i can just take alt routes whereas youre kind of stuck if there are no trains running
wouldve stuck with the train if i didnt want to move job in the nearish future and a car gives a lot more options

I go on my motorbike, in all weathers. But hopefully will be a car in the future!

A bus and then another bus. The second bus is very frequent so that's good and they're reliable.
If I start or finish at the same time as my manager though which is about 50% of the time we carpool because she lives close by.

Overground then underground (There in about 50mins)
To my other place just a 5-10min bus ride or 10min walk journey!
