Happy National Grilled Cheese Day! Sunday, April 12th is National Grilled Cheese Day! I love cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my favorite foods.

The best grilled cheese I ever had was a jalapeno popper grilled cheese. It was bread, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, bacon, and jalapenos. It was soo delicious and typing this right now is making me drool, hahah!

For this competition, tell me about the best grilled cheese you've ever had! In honor of this special holiday, make one for yourself and enjoy!

Grilled cheese we call toasties here, but they're essentially the same thing.
I make a banging original recipe, now sit down children and here how mama nic makes decent food with little effort.

Ingredients.
Cheese.
Two Eggs.
Milk.
Bread.
Other vegetables you want, I use spinach and magic mushrooms.

Method
Step ONE:
Batter two eggs in a bowl with a splash of milk.

Step TWO:
Stab your two slices of bed with a fork taking out your unresolved childhood rage upon the bread.

Step THREE:
Soak the slices in the eggy mix.

Step FOUR:
Put your cheese and other veg onto one slice of the eggy bread.

Step FIVE:
Put the other bread on top to make a sandwich and bang it into the George Foreman Grill.

Step SIX:
Enjoy your eggy bread (French toast) cheese toasted (Grill cheese)

I do like grilled halloumi on its own on a plate with fried pepperoni along with olives, an omelette and turkey bacon rashers for an occasional lunch.

However, I do love an insane amount of cheddar cheese, gruyere cheese and gouda blended all together in a toastie/panini.

As the subject is 'grilled cheese' I can't go by without mentioning grilled tofu as a starter or a side with my oriental food :)

Keep it simple, decent sourdough bread buttered both sides. Cheddar and Red Leicester. But add a small amount of blackberry jam in the middle - the sweetness really works well with the cheese.

I love sausage, bacon, egg with mayo and grilled cheese in a sandwich it is heaven! One of my favourite grilled cheese sandwiches to eat :P

I make my grilled cheese in an unusual way.

First, butter the bread on the inside and outside, adding mayonnaise to the inside

Second: add gruyere, pepperjack, swiss, bleu, and havarti cheeses

Thirdly: place the halves SEPARATELY in a cast iron skillet and cover it with a lid

Once sandwich is done cooking take it out and place a chilled tomato and crispy bacon in it and close it up

I have no idea what a grilled cheese is lol, is it our "cheese on toast" or a "cheese toastie"?

I do love cheese toasties, especially when it's both Cheddar AND Monterrey Jack with Ham, but in the triangle form ilke so:
