With the Uk government announced about making face masks mandatory in shops in England.
What are your thoughts?
Will face masks be mandatory still when COVID-19 is over?

I think they will mandatory still when COVID-19 is over and I think it will be safer for everyone.

In Michigan, the governor also made it mandatory for face masks to be worn in all public places, inside and outside.
I think that it is a good idea. With the increase in human traffic in public places (especially restaurants and bars), you need to do something to try to contain the virus, to avoid anymore outbreaks. There have been an increased number of cases in pretty much every area that has loosened their restrictions, so this will probably be the easiest way to avoid another spread.
In terms of keeping these guidelines mandatory after everything is over, I don't think they'll keep it in place for the general public, but I'm sure some restaurants and even shops will think about upholding those guidelines for the employees just because it's for the worker's safety. Restaurants would be more for employee and customer safety.

It was made mandatory I think on the 10th here
it was super uncomfortable at first, i felt sweaty and difficulty breathing especially cause i still have hayfever rn lmao
but after doing it a few times i've got used to it
think it's way too late to start doing it though lol but there's lots of diagrams showing how much more protected you are with EVERYONE wearing the masks versus just a few

Here in Brazil, our most recent law updates demand us to use masks eeeeeeverywhere but in a residence, if we don't want to pay a very salty fine :l

I think they should of done it a lot sooner. I have seen on the news that a lot of people think it should of start like months ago.

Right!? Walking into Walmart and seeing no one wearing masks made me feel uneasy. My first thoughts on this were, "about time".

it's mandatory across NC, but not all the businesses are enforcing it. I was at the farmer's market earlier and I saw a bunch of people not wearing them

I think its too late for face masks now. They should have done it at the start of the pandemic. But I welcome the move if it gets rid of the coronavirus.

Think it's far too late now. It is an effective method of preventing transmission rates, however do you think people will abide to this rule?

I don't believe they will be mandatory after COVID19 is over. They will definitely lesson the rules whenever the situation is under control.
In some places, they are forcing everyone to wear face masks everywhere regardless where they are going even if you're not in a shop.

Personally don't see why they left it this late on to introduce them, bloody ridiculous if you ask me.

I would agree to be fair. I thought it was too late by the time it was the first lockdown the uk had.
