With the news of about UK and China's relationship getting worse and the with even the foreign secretary Dominic Raab announcing many things.
What are your thoughts?
What does this mean for the UK and China?
Do you think this would lead into a war between the two or could they sort it?

So much seems to be impacting the world right now with COVID19 thrown into the works. China seems to be getting on the wrong side of a lot of countries, not just the UK. Politically they never like anyone saying anything or implying anything negative towards China, even when they are in the wrong and should take responsibility.
Going to war with China is not going to be good for China, let alone everyone else that will get dragged into it. We cannot afford anymore wars especially at a time like this!

Couldn't agree more with what you said Agesilaus! - I know 2020 is a rubbish year, but a war is not what we need.

Indeed, you would think that we have all grown out of going to war, but there's still parts of the world that would, and with some of the things going on in the developed part of the world, I'm surprised there hasn't been another war.

I cannot see any western country having a war with China, it will lead to chaos and possible WW3.

It has been good to see Britain, America, Australia, Canada and (less so) New Zealand coming down hard on China over Hong Kong. There was much debate over where Britain's foreign policy would shift in the post-EU era, and this has demonstrated it quite well. Japan - China's neighbour - is also moving closer to the "Five Eyes" (Anglosphere) as detailed here: https://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1197851.shtml
It seems fitting that the issue that has brought this alliance closer back together has been a former British colony.
The Anglosphere (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/ae/Flag_of_the_United_Kingdom.svg/23px-Flag_of_the_United_Kingdom.svg.png https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a4/Flag_of_the_United_States.svg/23px-Flag_of_the_United_States.svg.png https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d9/Flag_of_Canada_%28Pantone%29.svg/23px-Flag_of_Canada_%28Pantone%29.svg.png https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Flag_of_Australia_%28converted%29.svg/23px-Flag_of_Australia_%28converted%29.svg.png https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3e/Flag_of_New_Zealand.svg/23px-Flag_of_New_Zealand.svg.png) has:
- A population of 463,992,378 people
- 17.7% of world land area
- 44.5% of all world military spending

And still China couldn't give a crap.
If China wants to isolate itself as an international pariah under Jinping, then so be it.
It'll require the Anglosphere, the West and Western allies to push back harder. For instance, much-needed recognition of Taiwan independence.

Given that we have heard anything for a while about this I like everyone’s opinions here so far. Let’s see if this thread can get any more opinions.
