I know it's a hard choice to pick just one... but who is your overall favourite music artist and why?

Mine would 100% be Jake Scott. Jake Scott has an angelic voice for one thing, but his music has so much meaning and his songs are relatable to a lot of things in life, and that's something I value in an artist.

So, who would you choose?

Ed Sheeran or Garth Brooks...

I base my decision on amount of songs I know and love and for each artist I love like 95% of their songs

"Pick just one" first person to respond picks two

My overall top top top is probably The Get Up Kids, it'll depend on my mood but they have album after album of music that I love with some really great emotive lyrical content in there too which is important for me. Could make a big list of other favourites tbh but I CAN READ INSTRUCTIONS

It's a toss up between two. One I have liked a lot longer and has always been my favourite but the other one I listen to more and probably like more of her songs and follow her personal life more sooo the second one which is Taylor Swift.

Given the circumstances, timing, it'd be Hermeto Pascoal — it's just that he is the Man, objectively one of the best artists in the history of Brazilian music; being Brazil, ironically, the country that didn't give him the respect and value he deserves. By not being able to work in the rural zone he was born in, as his relatives did, he spent a huge deal of his youth in the deep nature experimenting different types of sounds with the waste materials from his home's workshop and it in one way or another oversharpened his sonic attributes much more that a formal education could ever potentially do and as I tend to figure he became even able to codify the whispers from the angels and all that, respectfully converted into the conventional wavelengths straight to the guy next door's Winamp, and all the jazz.

He touched me, and influenced the things I do in general — Not that all of my art is compulsorily themed around his universe, but his pieces of work roped in one happen to, accidentally or not, act as an archetype of unconditional creativity, hope, self-knowledge and authenticity... Fundamental, in our liquid times

For me I can't just pick one any more, if I had to it would be Martin Garrix but because I have a few now it would be Martin garrix, Joel Corry, Jax Jones, James Hype.

Foals.

Very rare for me to love an entire album, and I love all of theirs.
