This is so sad :( Such a figure for the whole COVID situation and a true inspiration. RIP Captain Tom!

Love this photo of him below. Worth remembering he served in the British Raj and Burma campaigns in World War II against the Empire of Japan. I'm delighted he had an amazing last year though, being knighted by the Queen, having the time of his very long life and only a few weeks ago was treated to a holiday to Barbados. After a century here and in decent health until the end, what better way to go though, really?

Yeah in his last year, he received a knighthood and did the 100 laps - amazing thing to do at 100 plus all of his service in the wars.
