Never thought I would say this but I wish Theresa May was still Prime Minister.

Hundreds of thousands of cancer cases coming down the road, the vulnerable vaccinated from this flu... and still the draconian restrictions stay. Madness.

As much as i despise Boris i'm 100% in agreement with this decision.

Yes out hospitals are somewhat empty in terms of covid cases, but the new variant still shows a steep rise in cases which could easily result in flooded hospitals.

I would rather not go to a nightclub, but know i can go to a pub and wait whilst everyone has their first dose. Hopefully the delay will allow the NHS to vaccinate as many young adults as they can in preparation for the unlocking stage.

I still personally recon they should hold off to the end of the school holidays in the hope that they can vaccinate 12+ ready for their return to school, and then look at re-vaccinating our venerable and over 50+ and all front line staff.

sorry about my mini rant, its really wound me up today all this moaning, when actually it is the right thing to do.

I think if its safe and effective to vaccinate children, currently over the age 12, it's really silly not to before they return back to school, but only after everyone has received their second dose.

A nasal spray will proberbly become the prefered method of choice for everyone under the age of 12.

But those groups are not effected by Coronavirus.

So I don't see why you would be prepared damage children's education/mental wellbeing over a flu that doesn't effect them. It doesn't make sense?
