How old is your house?

I've just recently ordered a 16 inch x 16 inch sandstone plaque to go on the front of our house to show off the date the house was built. We live in a Victorian house and sadly there's nothing to show off the impressive age of the house (nearly 150 years old) so I decided to get it made for above the front door.

I designed it with a drawing, and the company have translated my drawing into a professional template of what will be carved into the sandstone.

The top part is the royal cypher of Queen Victoria to denote the era the house was built, the date is self-evidence and the cross at the bottom is a nod to the Earl of Sefton (it was the family symbol) as he owned the land when the house was first built.
