How long do you reckon you've spent of your life watching films or TV shows?

It'll be hard to estimate but I'd guess I've seen close to 2500 films in my life, which averaged out at 2 hours a film for easy maths.. that comes to around 6 months of footage.

And probably watched a good equal amount in TV shows. Again just guessing here really... So I'd say in my life, a whole year of it has been spent watching TV.

What about you?

Based on your logic and calculations, I would say that mine is probably half that amount, so maybe 6 months? Maybe anywhere in the range from 6-8 months. You've also got many years on me because you're old, so gotta take that into consideration too ;)

Honestly, I don't watch movies all that much anymore. I watch movies if their recommended to me if people think I would like them, but other than that, I don't really willingly put on a movie. I don't watch all that much TV either. If I do, it's normally reality TV, which is 1-2 hours per week per show.

Most of my time in my life that I did watch the majority of it was probably when I was younger, because cartoons were life.

Going to go with up to a year because I put the tv on a lot for background noise, sometimes get distracted, idk.
This is hard to determine and now I wish there was a way to actually know for sure :)

I'm not sure I'd want to actually know the exact figure.. it'll depress me lol

I use a website to track my TV and movies lol and on there I've got 3,100 hours of TV and 700 hours of movies.
But that doesn't include reality and news.

I've also really gone off watching TV recently I used to be a huge TV nerd but have hardly watched anything this year

Much more TV than film (although streamed, I don't watch live TV other than football and Eurovision really) but no idea as to overall hours. Over a thousand hours just of watching/rewatching Dawson's Creek, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Gossip Girl lololol

Oh no this is not a proud moment but...
I am so weird when it comes to TV series.

I have been obsessed with RHOBH
Then the vampire diaries.. let’s not discuss that lol !
A series called Revenge also got interesting!!
Then I went back to Friends...
I love my TV, but now I feel like I don’t even have time for it to start any new series.
I can’t do horrors vampire diaries was enough..

I am a Disney fanatic so I have absolutely loved all the remakes these last few years just waiting for them to release a Hercules! And also as a BRIT you can’t go wrong with Harry Potter. (sorry not sorry) :) xx

I have never been properly connected to audiovisual stuffs in terms of entertainment of all sorts; probably as, when I was little, the people around me basically disapproved the sole idea of enjoying themselves with anything to do with screens — sometimes, just for the sake of it. The act of seeing movies was more perceived as this huge event than anything else, they didn't buy me videos etc. I only actually engaged with anything Disney much later in my life, lol, how tragic.

Less than 400 hours maybe
