A personal question here guys. But unfortunately before I could learn to love myself I had to pretend to like the same interests as my crush or to fit in with a group of people. For example I decided to change my genre of music, I changed to wearing different clothes, a whole new me which I remember at the time didn’t feel right!!

I am so proud of who I am today. I love that I am the complete opposite to my loved ones. Ofcoarse my taste in music offends them however they love me for me! And I wouldn’t want to be around anyone who would want to change me.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't do this at some point in my life, because I definitely have. This used to be high school Jamie with her crushes, acting like I liked certain things or knew of certain shows, etc.

But, as I got older, I realized that I stopped caring as much what people thought of me. Sure, I am probably one of the most self conscious people I know, but that doesn't mean I'm going to change for anyone.

If someone doesn't like my natural self, whether that's personality wise, or looks wise, then that's their loss. Especially with looks, like I rarely wear make up. If I do, it's just mascara. I don't want to be the type of person where people are shocked when they see them without make up and think they're a different person, but that's just me :P

Yes. I guess it is a part of growing [emoji271] and learning to love ourselves. The next topic would be. What is one thing you would say to your younger self? ‘don’t change who you are for someone to like you’. [emoji1]
