What's Your Earliest Memory? ~Ends November 10th

I've been thinking quite a lot lately about memories, and how important they actually are; because you never know when you're going to start forgetting.

Apparently, the average age of most people's earliest memories start at around 2.5 years old.
Some people, like myself, can remember even further back than that.

I have a very vivid memory of sitting on my Mother's knee, watching my sister in her swimming class.
Apparently she stopped swimming at 5 years old, so that would have made me just less than 1 year old at the time.

I think my earliest memory was before I was 5 years old, I think I might of been 4 when I was in kindergarten. Although it's a bit hazy now as I'm now 30, I recall playing at my best-friends house before she moved to Papua New Guinea, not too long before we turned 5.

I can't remember the exact age, but I think my memory was from when I was around 1-2.

I had gone to Hawaii with my parents and I was sitting on the beach playing in the sand with my mom. My dad was swimming in the ocean and he had a snorkel on, and the top of the snorkel looked like a shark fin. He swam under the water all the way up to the shore by me and scared the crap out of me because little me thought that a shark was coming up near me.

Let's just say, I will probably always have a very mild fear of the ocean now that a shark will come up and eat me alive, thanks DAD :D

First day at the kindergarten, I was 2, we came in late, I was the only person in the classroom, mommy started to leave the room homebound, I was like ?whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?:'(:'(:'(:'( as I saw her walking away through the window glasses, the female stranger next to me gave me a piece of paper with a parrot drawing, asked me to do some coloring on it, which I promptly consented (but with the left hand, which brought me problems later on) but deep down I was still like ?whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?:'(:'(:'(:'(
