Liverpool explosion live updates as four terror arrests rock city after hospital car blast

“Four men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act after a car exploded outside Liverpool Women's Hospital.

Police confirmed one man died and another man was injured.

The incident, on Sunday morning, saw specialist officers - including armed police - involved in operations near Sefton Park and in Kensington, the area in which the suspects were arrested.

In a tweet released through Greater Manchester Police, Counter Terrorism Police North West said: Officers in Merseyside have arrested three men - aged 29, 26 and 21 - in the Kensington area of Liverpool under the Terrorism Act.

Police have confirmed a controlled explosion was carried out in Sefton Park this afternoon.”

The was only one target which we currently know about which was the woman’s hospital, nothing about the cathedral and police are currently still investigating and the is major police presence around the city.
