Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall *will* become Queen
Queen Elizabeth II on the eve of her Platinum Jubilee has stated that the Duchess of Cornwall will become Queen

Well this is pretty big.
For years the Palace has toyed with the notion that because of the divorce and everything, Charles will become King and Camilla would be known as the 'Princess Consort'. But those of us interested in constitutional history and law knew this couldn't happen without the law itself being changed.
It'll likely be His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla. And I am fine with that. She has more than proven her worth with public duty.

Can't say I'm an expert on her life but I don't get the hatred for her, it seems to just be a case of "she's not Diana" which is obviously true but doesn't mean she's inherently evil

Sources in the palace have said to the Daily Mail that she will be crowned with the Crown of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, at the coronation.

Public poll on the issue seems to prove the move is popular.

I'm in complete agreement and massive fan of Diana. I think a lot of people will have watched The Crown and think Camilla is this awful person. I'm not necessarily supporting that through and through but I do agree that Camilla becoming Queen Consort feels disrespectful to Diana...
Such a divider isn't it!

Camilla's popularity up in another poll too, public backs her becoming Queen consort by margin of 2 to 1.

The thing is, Diana was never going to become Queen the moment she agreed to the divorce, as a matter of law.
How many people in modern Britain know someone who has divorced and then remarried? I'd say almost everyone.

Yeah I do hear you on the divorce piece, it's a lot more common now - especially blended families. I just have my backbone up a bit for Diana's justice -- like this is what Charles and Camilla wanted all along...

They both had affairs in the marriage, and Camilla and Charles were together before he married Diana. Nothing against Diana of course and I wouldn't take anything away from the good things she did, but it's very weird and cultlike when people claim she could do no wrong
Also who the hell is still pro-Andrew
