Are they worth it? Is it worth getting one?

I use my phone with an app called Aldiko which can display epub files. Saves having yet another device :P Used to say I'd always stick with physical books but it's very convenient having it with you all the time and it remembers what page you're on lol
I also use my phone. Easier for me personally to use my phone, less stuff to keep up with.
An e-reader would at least have a bigger screen, that could make it worth it probably.

Back in the days when I owned a phone, I'd collect tons of PDF, MOBI and EPUB files, early fascinatedby the idea of having unlimited stuffs to read at once
but then I got to know researches that prove how brutally poor the processing of on-screen words is vs reading the exact same information on paper; as a result, I ditched the concept almost entirely and got back to ink
The portability of e-readers can be positive for some ppl, though!! I'd suggest them devices that support "electronic papers", as they don't emit any kind of light, requiring natural lighting to be legible (just like RL books), so it won't spoil the classic benefits of reading

I have an old kindle which I used at the time so I could take loads of books on holiday. But tbh I just don’t like reading on the screen, I just really like books.
Useful and lightweight for holidays/commuting for sure though.
