36 days after being appointed as Britain's Prime Minister by the late Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Minister Liz Truss is in serious danger of being deposed by her unruly party and becoming the shortest serving PM (below George Canning who served 119 days until his early death in 1827).

There's numerous reasons for the discontent in Tory ranks but as a Tory member/usual voter, it is a depressing mess.

At the moment if I were to place a bet, I would say she will be gone before New Year.

An 80 seat majority and this is the state of the government. Really disgraceful.

My support for the government was barely hanging on - until she appointed Jeremy Hunt today as Chancellor which for me was the final straw. Horrid man.

I'd expect she's going to be forced out in the first half of next week and what's worse is the possible replacements appear to be even worse. Grim.
