View Full Version : Bread & Butter
So quick question.
When you lot are making a sandwich with butter on, do you butter 1 side of each slice, or just 1 slice?
So first option, you'll have butter on both the top and the bottom of the sandwich, and the 2nd option you'll have it on just the bottom (or top if you flipped it lol)
What kind of sandwich are you making with butter?
Most of my sandwiches
Bacon sandwich, ham sandwich etc

I don't use butter to put on the bread unless I'm making like a grilled cheese and obviously if I do that, I need to butter both sides or it would stick.
If I'm making a non-grilled sandwich, I just use mayo and I normally do a thin layer on both sides.
The whole butter thing must not be an American thing since tbl; and I are both confused LOL

lmaoooo I will admit at first I was wondering what kind of sandwiches had butter on both slices but I read it as sides as in ... all 4 sides are getting butter and in my mind I was imagining a cold sandwich with lots of butter.
Agreed with Jamie though, if it's a grilled sandwich butter on both sides, any other sandwich no butter.

American sandwiches with no butter and bread made of fructose corn syrup sound terrible, this is very upsetting

i adore all kind of sandwich. especcially apply butter on a slice cuz i usually prepare it myself. i guess i know how to make butter in more than 15 ways o lol since ive raised in the village. but there is one thing i hate is to convert units of mesurments cuz i live between 2 countries which have diff units of it. thank god there is online converter (https://oneconvert.com/unit-converters/volume-converter/teaspoon-to-ml) which is always handy for me.
i guess my the most favorite sandwich is regular one - with bacon and cheeeeezeeeee:E

I feel like we need a 3rd option - No butta.
I hate the stuff, its so pointless, just cant be doing with it. I like my bread dry, my toast dry and anything else you put spread on to be plain.

I butter both slices, one side each. Feels like you get a nice even spread that way, and it holds the sandwich together better. Just one slice can make it feel a bit dry on the other side, ya know?
