The ancient Egyptians were very advanced for their time. They invented a solar calendar (a calendar based on the sun) and a writing system called hieroglyphs

Cleopatra was alive closer to today than to what we know as "Ancient Egypt". That means that she was closer (by several hundred years) to Cher making a Christmas album than she was to the building of the Great Pyramid
