I've never actually seen Candyman and I think it's about some ghost murderer but THIS competition is about sweet treats... or not.

My housemate bought one of these bowls with a skeleton dude on it and it's supposed to come to life with an evil cackle when you put your hand in to take sweets out of it, but it seems to just go off at totally random times and terrify the heck out of me when I'm home alone.
SO, tell me... what unconventional change would you make to a classic trick-or-treat candy bowl to make it spook the visiting kids?
Add a password lock so they have to solve a riddle to get in?
Make it play All I Want For Christmas Is You on repeat?
Fill it with bees?
