Suella Braverman MP defects to Reform

The former Home Secretary launched a blistering attack on the Conservatives as she defected

Wonderful news, I am a big fan of Braverman. That now takes Reform up to 8 MPs.

As the Tory Party slips below the waves, the question is: who next?

And I did as a then-Conservative Party member, when faced with the - admittedly poor - decision to make between her and Rishi Sunak. And I'd vote for her again over Little Rishi, the man who brought down two prime ministers, only to take the Tories to their worst defeat in parliamentary history and a defeat from which they will probably never recover from. His legacy? An attempt to ban smoking for under 18s. He makes the Earl of Avon and the Earl of Home look like political titans by comparison, but then so does Truss. But at least Truss tried to jumpstart the economy.

I recall you voted for Sunak's Tories in 2024? Now that needs studying.

Tories were dead thanks to Liz. It didn't matter what Rishi did, they were going to lose as Liz's (who you would still vote for, wow!) shocking budget cost everyone (including me) a lot of money and people wanted payback.

Quite frankly, the voters are stupid and naive. They believe the lies politicians spew, they believed Boris and his Brexit bus, and they believed Nigel and his brexit lies, they believed Starmer (despite almost everything what Rishi said being true) and sadly they are so stupid, they will now believe Nigel again. Politicians know this, and they know they can string people (like yourself) along as they will believe any old crap and they even make you think you thought of it all by yourself. Laughable.

"It didn't matter what Rishi did."

Well that's the point isn't it, he was absolutely useless.

There's literally no political disagreement between Sunak and Starmer, two cheeks of the same crusty arse.

No, Liz Truss had caused so much chaos, people just wanted change.
