iPod Nano - Not a "great" as they seem.

The much talked about iPod nano.
Today I went to BestBuy and they had the iPod Nano on display, it looked very cool and small. But when I picked it up it was very deciving.

The first MAJOR problem for me atleast, I had my iPod mini wired into the sound system in my car, the Nano uses a different connecter than the iPod mini, so it wont work and if I were to get the Nano I would have to buy another connecter kit that would work with the Nano.

The second problem is the touch wheel is very small and hard to use and I didn't find it as sensitive as the Mini's touch wheel.

The third problem is the tiny little screen, I like to be able to see what song im listening to. The nano's little screen makes it quite hard to see the song list and the song info too.

I agree with the nano i got one foolishly and it were'nt up to my expectations the music quality i found was'nt as good and the picture of that other nano looks wkd but does'nt hold that many songs :'(

Might be the new one they are comming out with in a few monthes. Or the one they are comming out with a month after that, or a month after that :p Basicly, no matter what one you buy, you cant win. They always come out with a better one in a few monthes. They could work hard on one type, and have it be really really good, but they wouldnt make as much money.

Simple solution.

Get an MP3 Player or something that is like an iPod from Creative Labs. It is the same size, holds more files types and is quick at installing songs via USB Port. Simple :P

Creative is better than i pods, just arent as popular because they dont have commercials :rolleyes: I got a zen micro and its a mini, but better and cheaper :eusa_danc I would explain, but im just waiting for the die hard i pod people to come and say "I love my i pod" and act like mine is stupid :rolleyes:

I know someone whos iPod locked for no reason and couldn't be unlocked. It was fixed by the battery running out :P

I would rather have something PC friendly than something made by Apple which is a different type of Computer thing.

I dont think HP/Apple should be going small, putting a colour screen and adding a black casing to the iPod mini would have done the trick.

If what those pictures are prototypes they dont make much sense and look impractical i think apple are starting to lose track on what an ipod is i kno we all need small MP3's but instead of getting thiner maybe lose a bit of hieght because i think the thickness of a Mini and Normal Ipod is just fine as it is :)

They arent too great.
I found the biggest problem was overheating. As there is a large battery capacity in such a small device, it causes the nano to overheat badly. This causes the nano to fail.

Also, when i bought mine... 2 days later the back starting falling off.
So i had to exchange it for a new 1.

Design fault it is a new product but i have a G1 Mini and nothing went wrong altough its battery life isnt as good as its succesor. (G1= Generation 1)

I have a G2 one whats the difference? I think its just the click wheel buttons have colour and they do 6Gg G2's

G1's I think have less vibrant colours and the battery life is shorter but i think thats the only difference. Also theres a bit on the back stating the GB of the Ipod i think is there?

I like Black Nano's But white is the classic colour for Ipods and personally id like to have had a colour screen o and another differece between ipod mini's 1 costed 179 puonds the G2 was 139
