At half past five in the morning, Kim picked up her velvet bag and started to throw things into it. Her birthday money she had got, change that was in her purse and all of the essentials. She threw open the window and chucked the bag outside. She then carefully climbed down a vine that led down the side of the house. When she was almost all the way down, she fell onto the pavement and scratched her arm. Blood started to run out and she started to dab at it with a tissue that she had put in her bag. Kim looked around and say a dark figure lurking near the bushes. Her heart started to beat faster and she started to walk down the street, towards her friends house. She was running away. Her mum and dad didn't know where her friend, Trisha, lived. Kim stumbled along the narrow path and looked up at the houses that she was passing. None of them looked familliar. She looked further around and saw the dark figure heading towards her. Kim quickly took off her high heels and put her trainers on then ran as fast as she could along the street. The person started to run too. Kim began to run across a main road. Suddenly, Kim flew sideways across the road and landed on her eyes. Cars screeched to a hault and people threw their car doors open and ran over to Kim. Her eyes were shut and her hair was a mess.
"Oh my gosh... is she dead?" a voice asked.
"No, she's just unconcious," a lady told the person.
"Someone call an ambulance!" someone shouted. Immediately, lots of people got out their mobiles and started to dial 999. The dark figure stepped into the light and ran towards Kim's body.
"Kim!" she exclaimed, "Are you ok?"
"She's unconcious. Do you know her?" the lady imformed her.
"I'm her aunty!" the woman exclaimed and leant over Kim.
The ambulance soon arrived and they carted her off in the ambulance. Her aunt went with her and stayed by her side the whole time. When they were half way to the hospital, Kim opened her eyes.
"Ouch!" Kim exclaimed when she tried to move, "Where am i? What happened?" She looked around in a panic then saw her Aunt standing there and realised that the figure had been her aunt all along. Before she could say anything, the ambulance turned a tight turn and then it crashed. Kim from where she was lying and hit the side. Suddenly, another car smashed into the side. People screamed and the ambulance doors burst open. People rushed in to help and someone felt Kim's pulse then looked up at the other people.
"They're all dead," a ladies voice said shakily.
"Are you sure?" a man asked. The lady nodded.
"Looks like the girl was already badly injured before the crash," a woman said, looking at Kim's wounds.
"Poor kid," a man said.
"It's all my fault..." a teenager said, emerging from behind the ambulance door. Everyone looked at him, inquisitivly.
"I was just fooling around... I was overtaking everyone and reversing and stuff and i didn't see the ambulance," he explained.
"How could you! You've killed four people. This young girl had a long life ahead of her you know! What are her family going to say? You'll be locked up for this! And i hope you get banged up for life!" a woman shouted at him. The teenagers' eyes were full of sorrow and fright. While everyone was looking at the teenager, Kim's arm twitched. No one knew that she had came back to life for a slight second. She could have been resusatated and taken to hospital for special treatment. If someone had seen her.
Two months later .... * * *
Kim's family and friends stood before Kim's grave, tears in their eyes.
"Kimberly Latemoore, known as Kim to her friends and family, was a lovely and charming girl. She was my little girl and she would never say a bad word about anything. That poor girl's best friend was killed the night before her very own innicedent. My little girl went through so much. Now let her rest in peace," her mother said and placed some flowers and a teddy down beside the grave.
