He was great.. The only ones I can remember him in is
Porridge
Open all hours [Which he was hilarious in, with David Jason.]
And... the two ronnies..And probably alot more comedy sketches.
Wasn't he 76 or 78, I guess it wasn't that unexpected, as he'd been ill for a while. But I'm sure he'll be sadly missed...

He made British comedy fantastic. He made British shows such as the prison series "Porridge" and "Open All Hours". :) OMG! Who can forget the Four Candles sketch!
He walks into a D.I.Y shop and says "Four Candles please" and the shop keeper says "Sorry, we don't sell Fork Handles here" and he keeps explaining he wants "Four CANDLES" LMAO OMG Hilarious. *Cough* :']
RIP Ron!

The Four Candles sketch you got the wrong way around...he WANTED Fork handles, but the shopkeeper (Corbett) thought he said Four Candles ;)
He was indeed a Legend. And its goodnight from him...RIP.
Didn't really know who he was, but that's sad.

Oh yus! I watched it the other day and I just thought "Oh no I got it the wrong way round! ROFL! I love the scene in Porridge (A comedy show set in a prison) when he searches his cell and comes down to the table where everyones sat and he says "I don't know quite how to put this gentleman, but their is a theif among us." LMAO!
I liked open all hours, great show. sad to see him leave :(
