The Debate Forum~

Hey, I would love the debate forum to be open to have open debates with members about Habbo/Habbox and real life issues.

Would this be possible?

i think what happend was that too many people were rule breaking and getting worked up over things. There would often be arguements that resulted in both people getting banned or something along those lines :rolleyes:

Ah, well I'm sure we have some mature members here and after that thread "Do you believe in god" Which I made, I'd love to have a debate on a few things with people that posted in that thread.

I would like it open because it would be a great chance to discuss more serious topics with the more mature audiance.

I'd love a debate Forum set up, where two people decided on something to debate on and a sub-Forum was set up in which a password was put on, the two people could debate in there and some kind of prize to the winning debater.

I guess that would be hard work but we all love a good ol' debate ;)

One of the first plans was to actually have a competition debating forum. I believe this can be very competitive in some places around the world. Maybe by keeping this thread alive it may get enough attention to get things started ;)

But competition debating is different. You may have to debate on something you strongly disagree on. It may be that you actually agree with your opponent, but to win you must disagree! Does that make sense?

Forums ive been on Debate boards usally go off topic and get junked with spam. If it was properly moderated i would post there </3

Well I would love to see it set up because people I know on this forum (including my self) have things we like to express and debate with other people who either agree, dissagree or are somewhere in the middle.

It would also be a great way of members to communicate to each other and actually make new friends with other debaters.

Moding it would be easy compared to sections like the news and rumours, I mean, maybe you could have a Debate forum with 2 spin-off sub-forums with: Serious Debate (This would include things like Racism, god, paranormal and just things of a 'serious' nature to them) And a Fun Debate (So there would be no excuse for people to post in the Serious Debate section; Sausages VS Hash Browns. :p)

You do realise some debates end up having a question answered and then more questions need answered and so on? Really there should be a prize for both the debaters but the one with more votes or is more liked will get a bigger prize.

I agree, the debates would be great, Athogh I personly would prefer an Open debates forum, where anyone can join in and post there views at any point rather than haveing offical debates wich would have all the hassle of being set up and closly moderated, i also like the idea of 2 sepert forums, as in 1 for all the boring spamish **** about sprit V coke, and one for the interesting debates, does god exist, etc etc etc
