I nearly Killed myself today. O.O

Today, I encountered a near-death experience. Now, I look back thinking how lucky I was.

At school, I was on the computer, when it switched off randomly. I thought I could fix it, so I unplugged the computer, and fiddled with the wires. I turned it back on and it still wouldn't work. I tried the wires again, then I moved the voltage switch. A large spark came from the computer, I stumbled back and fell down, and the computer started to smoke a bit. I got such a shock, I've been thinking about it all day, and how close I was to death.

That happen to me when i was 7 lolol red switch on the back of comp i pressed it and bang the computer blew up

rofl!, you flicked it to american voltage, thats why it blew. :p a nice year 8 trick i did at school, i got into a ICT room, and flicked all the pc's to american voltage when the pc's were off, so next period. i had ict, so everyone went to turn on a pc, and most of them blew. :P

Edit- Now at school they have covered up the volatage switch. :)

Something like that happened to me once the cable at the back of my tv came out, and i thought oh great gotta put it back in so i went to put it back in, but i should have turned the telly off but i left it on so i put the cable close to the insertion and then i could see little blue sparks appearing and got a small electric shock :/ turned the tv off straight away :/

u dont die, you have to have the pc's off, and plus, its the power supply which you blew :p and prob some of the mother board :p. So it isnt faital if you do it, it may be if you do it when the pc is on tho .... never tryed it ....

I did something simular with my laptop... Pulled the USB out when the computer was on but was shutting down and poof, the end of the USB was melted... and there was smoke. LoL.. There went my assignment :l
