BULLYING : What to do about it and what to do if you are beeing bullied

Hi everyone
Today i recieved traning from kidscape as im an anti bullying person at my school. Anywho , Bullying is a serious issue and dosent only affect children. Adults in the work force also get affected by it too.

The majroity of children these days have been teased , Kicked , punched bullied etc. People go around thinking that its cool to pick on people and dont really realaise what the consequences are until too late.

We also watched quite a moving video on children taking there own lives because bullying got way too much and they had no way out. It had me thinking , Maybe these people where alone . Maybe they had no freinds to sit down and find the way out of the problem with. Life must have been very bad to take there own life.

So for you , if you know off anyone who is beeing bullied or know of bullying

Totally. Absolutly. No DOUBT about it. bullying is sad, and one of the only reasons you get bullied if you are bullied is because that person bullying you is jealous of you, just remember that ;]

Its true. Bullying shodulnt be tolerated in any form of socciety in work or in school. Some schools have good anti bullying policies and some need help. During my traning we watched a video about people taking there lifes when they had too much of bullying and i noticed that all the smart and clever ones got picked on because the bully is jealous. people who bully are insecure about their own life if they bully people about stuff like glasses or braces or soemthing
if i was bullied i tell my friends and we'd try and do something about it

There's a "chav" at our school who has one eye and the other is glass because of an illness, He is the most agressive person, he is in the year below me but he is extreamly vilant and will buly people, obviously because he is not secure about himself.

The majority of bullied people are the overweight and ugly people ( like me :D ) So why would a bully be jelouse of that ;l they just want respect quicker and ppl to shudder in the corner when they walk past. just smack um back ;D or if your weaker or a "swot" find a secritive way to embarass them but so they dunt no it's you makes ya feel a lil better.

One day I saw this bully hitting a kindergartener with a stick....I tried to help the kinderkartener by pushing the bully away but then he hit me with a stick. :( I called on somebody to stop him but then i was to late....The Boy is alive but he is in the hospital I wish bullying would stop.

Bullies point out and pick at other people's mistakes, no matter how small they are. So dont do that, you will be considered a bully:) You arent a mod here, leave it up to them to handle that, otherwise you are just spamming, which is against the rules;)

I thik everyone in there life will get bullied, i know how it feels like, bullys push you so far, you want to do stupid things. i get home tutored now because of things in the pass. and i hope that everyone dont do stupid things, dont let them win, speak up and tell someone, because its nasty to see getting bullied, half of you on this forum knows how it feels like.

There are many reasons why people get bullied. Maybe because of their ethnicity or sexuality or even because they wear glasses. Most bully victims are tortured because of stereotyping, which is the worse thing that could happen to anybody. I got told a girl who'd just started university, who was a Muslim she was walking around with he friends when some bullying thug's thought it'd be funny to pour some urine over her.

Most children tend to find suicide or harming themselves the easy way out, as they think if they tell someone they'll make the situation worse. The bully has pushed them so much into thikning they might actually kill them. It's the most horrible feeling in the world to feel alone, unloved and bullied for being who you are. These bullies must be stopped, most children who bully have a rage of jealousy over something the victim has that the bully wants.

It's a little different in working environments, since you learn alot about the ways of the world, allegations are thrown and people get made out to be victims of abuse by other colleagues. Such as if you start a job in a male populated environment you'll find you'll be criticised over your gender which is classed as sexism. If however, you begin a new job, but you are another religion such as Muslim or Hindu or Pakistani, you'll find you will get bullied for your ethinicity, your colour and your beliefs, which this is called Discrimination. You should be able to speak out, there are rules and regulations within the Law and if by any chance of bullying you find any discrimination towards somebody else's colour or ethnicity the abuser would be prosecuted and imprisoned for discriminatory judgement.

If this is happening to you or if you are being bullied and you don't feel happy about yourself, you are NOT the person who is in the wrong, THEY ARE! So if you feel like you're being abused or teased by anybody you need to let either your teacher/employer/parents/police know about it, they will sort it out.

Meh, it isnt really just uglyness like people think... There are a lot of girls and guys in my school that are popular, arent really pretty. Usually people make fun of others when they annoy them or bother them in some way. Usually its if you dont really talk to eachother, you dont really pay attention to eachother. So it isnt because you are ugly or fat, or even where you are from. Its when you think people dont like you because you are fat ugly or stupid. People can only like you as much as you like yourself, and no matter how ugly you think you are, you can be popular, cool, and people can like you.
As a matter of fact, my friend is really into ska, has square glasses, wears wierd stuff, and went out with one of the prettier girls in the school. Its all because he was himself. He knew he wasent the hot guys in school, but he knew it doesnt matter. He even dumped her, still friends, but kinda wierd.
If you think people dont like you because you are ugly or fat, you are really just using it as an excuse that people dont like you. Sorry, but people dont hate you just because of what you look like anymore. You could tuck in your shirt, wear huge glasses, have a face of pimples and have a girl/boy friend and be the most popular kid in the school.

I've been bullied a lot. About a certain thing, but I wont tell since its kind of embarassing, but if people wanna know I guess they can.. But it is really hurtful after your teased. You feel cut and turn away :@ But I get over it since im improving on it :)

I hate bullies, what I think is sick about them is that they know it can really affect the victim mentally, yet they carry on. Bullies are very childish people.

Kimmy is totally correct about it being an awful feeling, I know what its like to be bullied and its dreadful. I've feared going to school when I was younger thanks to bullies. I don't get it as bad as some people though and I feel sorry for them.

This may seem harsh but bullying will always exist... it can be downfalled and slowed down but ti will always exist in some kind of form.

I agree it should be shut out completly but that it is impossible. =(

Gah, people call me Stressballs, and I don't get stressy, no I don't. They started graffiting about me in the gym, saying really nasty stuff about me that would be censored here :( I didn't know why they did it. So, I told a teacher and they got detentions for a week and our head of year wrote a letter home to all of them explaining what they did.
Oh, and I got beaten up once at a school farye, and so my dad got in contact with the police, and they told him off :o. They all never bothered me again.

Well said, im repping you for that, like most people have said tell someone if you have seen bullying or if you are being bullied, i have been bullied once by a couple of girls because i didnt like a certain singer anymore so they got nearly everyone in my year to hate me and i am not afraid to tell this, i remember on what specific night i cut myself since i got a threatening phone call but i sorted it all out and i made new friends: BETTER FRIENDS! And im now happier since i told my mum and teacher. My advice: SPEAK OUT!;)
