Music sites?

Anyone know a good site where i can download music for free?

I did have limewire but i got a virus from that, And listening to the same music just gets annoying..

Well there are some, but most only have "popular" songs, not entire albums. If you see a link that plays an mp3 file, you can right click and save as to have it. Google: MP3 song downloads, you are sure to find a few sites.

Thats where i find all new unsigned bands and you can download a few songs, but you can listen to like 5 from each band without having to download anything.

Launchcast is good, but thats for listening on your computer, and you cant choose the songs, so its not really for downloading. Great site though. (Just a thing on that- Launch was invented by one guy who just got out of college, and yahoo paid him millions of dollars for it:p )

Yeh, I forgot about purevolume. They usually have unsigned/not yet popular/just got popular/ want to promote new cd bands. They do have some good stuff, and if you browse, they have tons of bands with the same name:p

I would classify them as emo/soft rock, but i dont even understand these labels anymore, their too confusing.

Wth? Why does it matter what they are?! It really gets me mad when people genreize bands themselves, why does it matter? Who cares? Jesus, dont get all defencive when someone thinks a band is emo, my god.

And yahh myspace is a really good idea. If you like go to www.myspace/thebandyouwantsnamehere and click download in the player section you can get some good stuff.
